I was born and raised in Ottawa, but was fortunate enough to move to Hamilton in 1995. I’ve been involved with Backyard Harvest since September 2014 when I helped out at the market stall at the Locke Street Festival. I loved the experience so I just kept coming back.

I believe Backyard Harvest adds something vital to our local community. It’s a unique business combining environmental, health and culinary values. Being able to buy an organically grown cucumber is one thing. Knowing it was grown a few blocks from where you bought it is something special. Then, when it’s the best cucumber you’ve ever tasted, that’s pure joy.
