August Harvest

It is hard to believe that there has been 12 weeks of the CSA already! Yesterday the weather reminded us of the fall. It was a little bit cooler than it has been and there was a nice breeze. I’m not quite sure what it was exactly but there was just this feeling in the air. The rain that we’ve had recently has been great for all our crops, especially for the radishes, beets and arugula that has just come up.

This week in the share there were cherry tomatoes and eggplant! The sun sugar ( the yellow cherry tomatoes) I find are like candy in your mouth. The onions and garlic are amazing this year. There was also walla walla, cippolini, green onions and some beautiful bulbs of garlic. The zucchini is doing well and there is lots of it! I have been enjoying eating it stir fried with the onions and garlic. The beans are slowing down a little bit so enjoy them while they last!
